Engine oils

The oil in your Volvo car is one of the most important lubricants for your car. The right oil helps avoiding unnecessary wear on your Volvo’s engine. On this page I will tell you about oils, wear and saturation.

Understanding oils

Getting the right engine oil for your Volvo car isn’t really difficult. But which one should you choose and what does all those names and numbers stand for?

The main function of motor oil is to lubricate a internal combustion engine but also cleans, seals, prevents corrossion, and cools the engine by move the heat away from the moving parts.
